Professionals Talk Sex Series

1. Intro to Common Sexuality Topics

Join Lisa Dawn and Lindsay for this 4-part series designed to help health care and helping professionals be more comfortable and knowledgeable when talking to clients/patients about sex! The first class covers sexuality basics and the next 3 focus on common sexual topics that arise in helping professions: feeling more comfortable talking about sex, sexual problems (esp. desire), and supporting clients with a history of sexual trauma. These sessions will be introductions to these topics with additional resources provided. The goal of these sessions is to help professionals have the knowledge to create a shame and judgment-free environment where patients and clients can feel safe. I want to help you provide the best care possible for your clients/patients. I know you want that too.

2. Working With People From Marginalized Sexualities

Join Lisa Dawn for this 4-part series designed to help health care and helping professionals be more comfortable and knowledgeable when talking to clients/patients about sex! The first class covers sexuality basics and the next 3 focus on folks with marginalized sexualities and relationship styles: LGBTQ+ individuals, Kink practitioners, and people in consensually nonmonogamous relationships. Folks in all of these categories are misunderstood and often report negative experiences with medical or therapeutic environments. This can reduce the likelihood of members of these communities from seeking care when needed. The goal of these sessions is to help professionals have the knowledge to create a shame and judgment-free environment where patients and clients can feel safe. I want to help you provide the best care possible for your clients/patients. I know you want that too.
